What is the printing process?
The artworks are either screen-printed or digitally printed decals. Each mug will be carefully decorated with the artwork, fired in the kiln, and the decal will print into the glaze of the mug permanently.
Is the print microwave / dishwasher safe?
The mugs and the prints are microwave safe, freezer safe, and oven safe.
They are dishwasher safe for home use.
For commercial dishwashers, we highly recommend using a compartmented rack to prevent the mugs from colliding during the intense wash cycle.
Minimum order quantity?
Decals are printed in large batches due to the high setup fee. We recommend a minimum of 48 mugs for custom orders. You can mix different sizes and colors of 48 mugs in total.
What is the lead time?
Depending on the quantity, complexity of your artwork, and the number of colors in the artwork, it can take from 4 to 6 weeks.
Where is the print facility?
We utilize third-party decal print services in the US that employ food-safe, ceramic ink in their printing process.
After carefully inspecting the prints, we apply them to the mugs ourselves and fire the mugs in a kiln at a local ceramic shop.
We then inspect every print for defects to ensure that all prints meet our quality standards.
What file formats are acceptable?
We only accept vector-based files that have separate color blocks. Any pixel-formatted image or gradients can’t be screen-printed. Please upload your artwork in any of these formats when submitting an inquiry: .ai .eps .svg
