Dishwasher Safe

CURVD mugs are home dishwasher safe and can also handle the heat and detergents of industrial dishwashers.

Home Dishwashers: Safe to use daily. Place mugs securely to avoid unnecessary movement.
Commercial Dishwashers: While temperature and detergents are fine, we strongly recommend using a compartmented rack.
In commercial kitchens, mugs often get loaded into non-compartmented racks where high water pressure makes them bang together. This can lead to handle damage or breakage.
Tip: Always use a compartment rack and ensure staff handle mugs gently.

Microwave Safe

All new CURVD mugs are printed with either Screen Printed Decals or Digital Print Decals, both of which are microwave safe.
Older Human Friendly mugs made with sublimation prints are not microwave safe, but we no longer offer those products.

Handwashing

While CURVD mugs are dishwasher safe, handwashing is always a gentle alternative to extend their lifespan.

Use a soft sponge and mild dish soap.
Avoid metal scrubbers, which can scratch the surface and damage the glaze.

Safe Use & Precautions

Freezer Safe

CURVD mugs are safe for use in the freezer, making them perfect for iced coffee or pre-chilled drinks. Allow the mug to return to room temperature before exposing it to high heat to avoid thermal shock.

Oven Safe

CURVD mugs are safe for use in a home oven or kiln up to Cone 1.
What is Cone 1?
- In ceramics, a "cone" measures heat-work, combining time and temperature. Cone 1 is approximately 2079°F / 1137°C, ensuring your mug can handle standard baking and warming needs without damage.

Avoid Metal Inside Your Mug

Do not use metal beverage mixers inside the mug. They can scratch and leave visible lines on the glaze.
Avoid stirring with sharp or metallic utensils that can damage the interior finish.
